Some people are content to live with the truths society dictates for them; others are compelled to search for their own.  For Robert Lewis Knecht, that search began on October 2, 2000.  A 7,000 mile adventure known as: 

 

Expedition: North America

 

Leaving behind the world he knew, what began as a quest for personal truth, has now become an adventure beyond anything he could imagine.

 

"I am often asked why am I doing this: taking a journey from America's southern-most point, Key West, to her northern-most point, Barrow, Alaska, predominantly on foot.  Well, I have had a long time to ponder this, and I think this is the closest I have ever come to being able to answer that question . . . . "
