Cirrus Access

  Granite Gear

Internationally, we are known for our Rock Solid Compression Sacks. In the Midwest, everyone knows our state-of-the-art canoe touring packs and gear. Serious mountaineers and explorers have depended on our extreme weather mitts, gloves and hats for years. Climbers and backcountry skiers have relied on our bombproof mountaineering packs for over ten years.

More recently, we have become known for the breakthrough innovation we developed in backpack design. In 1996 we introduced the first ever 3-D contoured, molded composite framesheet for internal frame backpacks. Based on this framesheet technology, word is spreading that our Cirrus, Stratus and Nimbus backpacks are the most comfortable and effective load carrying systems ever developed.

Nearly everyone who has tried a Cirrus, Stratus or Nimbus pack properly fitted to them has loved the way they perform. People with back problems have proclaimed that using our Cirrus packs has taken the pain out of backpacking and made it much more enjoyable. Try on a Cirrus, Stratus or Nimbus pack at one of our dealers and we are sure you will agree they are most comfortable packs you have ever worn!

"For me, the Cirrus Access pack is the most versatile pack I could find.  It must be easy to access and pack my gear in -- I can pack it from the top or the back.  It must distribute the weight (70+ pounds) evenly between my hips and shoulders -- with it's numerous adjustment straps, I can pull my load in close to my body, which makes a huge difference for the distances I walk each day.  It also must be tough.  As Greg at GG put it, putting 6,000 plus miles on a pack is like owning it for 20 years.  I am sure I will be wearing the same pack once I reach the Arctic."

Ruff Rider Dog Pack

These packs are anatomically designed to fit the contours of your dog. They give your pet the capacity to carry a load in comfort without the pack interfering with your dog's stride. Plus, they can be easily adjusted for a perfect fit. The bombproof construction will hold up to the rigors dogs can dish out. Fleece lines the sides that come in contact with the fur. Tubular nylon webbing, with its softer rolled edges, won't cut into the skin. Fasten around the front and under the belly for a secure fit. Constructed of 500 denier nylon and 550 gram fleece.

"What I liked about this pack was its center section which allowed the pack to breathe.  Other packs I looked at would have been fine in colder climates, but Klondike and I will experience over 100 degrees difference in temperatures by the time we reach the Arctic.  The Ruff Rider Pack did great for her in the incredible heat of the Flordia Keys."
